Wolfram Research pioneered the electronic notebook in 1988 and has led innovation on the concept ever since; the notebook has now been widely adopted as the new paradigm for scientific discourse and collaboration. Whether on the desktop or on mobile devices, you can use Wolfram notebooks to mix text, data, interactive graphics and more with chemical computations.
Notebooks are organized into cells, indicated by brackets on the right.

Double-click a cell bracket to open or close a group of cells:

Click between cells to get a horizontal insertion bar for creating a new cell:

You can make title, section or text cells in a notebook:
It’s easy to convert your notebook to a slide show:
Like everything in the Wolfram Language, documents are symbolic expressions that can be altered programmatically.
