The Honda Data Generator will calculate the values needed to upgrade from a completely stock system, or from a modified system using any ID Injector, Fuel Pressure, and Fuel Type. |
Define the current configuration by choosing the appropriate Injector Model, Fuel Pressure, Fuel Type, and Ethanol content if applicable. |
1. Choose the Injector Model from the dropdown list. |
2. Define the Fuel Pressure. The allowable range is from 29 to 101.5 psi. Fuel Pressure varies among models and years. In most cases, you can find the stock Fuel Pressure in the repair manual. Stock Fuel Pressure for both models is 49.8 psi. |
4. If using Gasoline/Ethanol blend, define the Ethanol content of the fuel, from 0-98%. Note that your UTV was calibrated at the factory with Emissions Certification Fuel which contains 10% ethanol, as does most pump gas. |
5. For Custom Fuel, enter the Stoichiometric Air Fuel Ratio and Density. For Methanol or Gasoline/Ethanol blend, these values are not used. |
6. Follow the same steps for the new configuration. This can be completely new, or as simple as switching from gasoline to E85. |
7. Apply the Pulsewidth Factor to ALL Pulsewidth values in the calibration. This is currently quite tedious, but will be replaced with a single value in the future as the engineers at Dynojet are continually making improvements. |
8. Copy and paste the Injector Latency and Minimum Injector Pulsewidth values from the Data Generator to the Dynojet C3 tuning software. Change the Injector Latency axis values to match that shown in the Data Generator. (8v, 10v, 12v, etc.) |
Access to injector parameters requires Dynojet V3 software with level 3 access. Contact Dynojet for further details. |
