GTPwDielectricF

GTPwDielectricF[wave vector,epsilon,Fermi wave vector,scaling]

defines a screening function.

Details and Options

  • An ionic model potential is screened in a diagonal manner. The Fourier transform of the screened potential is given by
  • The static limit of the dielectric function for semiconductors is used. is calculated for wave vector and the Fermi wave vector . epsilon is the finite dielectric constant of the semiconductor. scaling depends on the units used in the calculation.

First load the package:

We look up some data from the parameter sets to get the input data for the dielectric function.

The empty core potential will be screened by ϵ(q).

Using the data for the dielectric constant ϵ0 and the Fermi wave vector kF the dielectric function can be plotted.
