GOPhotonic

is an option which is used to distinguish between the calculation of an electronic or a photonic band structure.

Details and Options

The calculation of the electronic band structure and of the photonic band structure as well lead to an matrix eigenvalue problem. In case of electronic band structures the eigenvalues are directly the energies at a certain k-point. In case of the photonic band structure the eigenvalues are proportional to the square of the eigenfrequencies, i.e. some post processing is necessary.
